Adams & Westlake is the oldest manufacturer of window curtains for the transportation industry. As a result of over a half of century of experience, Adlake curtains and accessories incorporate only those features that require minimum maintenance and give long life. They are made to withstand the hard usage to which curtains are subjected.

All-Metal Rollers
 The fact that Adlake Rollers are used on almost every transportation property is your best assurance that they give dependable low-cost operation. They are made in diameters of 1" and 1 1/4".
An important feature of Adlake All-Metal Rollers is the adjustable metal plug with its specially designed locking device which can be set and locked easily by means of a slotted head screw. This provides a means of taking care of the variations in car construction, and allows for a quick installation.
108 Pinch Handle Curtain Fixture
 The 108 Pinch Handle Curtain Fixture is the most widely used in the transportation industry. It operates noiselessly because the sides of the rubber shoes project beyond the metal of the tips and prevent their striking against the sides of the grooves. The rubber shoes also grip the bottom of the grooves to prevent the curtain from "creeping" from vibration. It is quickly and easily changed, although firmly gripped at four points by a patented design. This fixture fits into the standard 3/8" wide groove.
128 Cable Curtain
 For windows covering two-seat positions, the Adlake Cable Curtain solves the problem of easy curtain operation by either passenger. Decorative and strong, the extruded aluminum bottom apron permits operation of the curtains from any point across its width. It rides smoothly and easily on the cables which guide it and hold it straight at all times.
The lower end of the cable is anchored at the bottom of the 9/16" wide groove on one side, then passes through the tube of the fixture and is fastened with an adjusting tip at the top of the opposite groove. The rubber shoe at the end of the fixture tip is made to project beyond the side of the tip to prevent metal-to-metal contact with the groove.

S-4891 Automatic Release Handle
 To insure against damage to a vestibule curtain when cars are uncoupled with the curtain still attached, our Automatic Release Handle operates quickly and easily, yet holds the curtain in a true position when extended. The handle's overall height is 6 1/2", with 1 1/2" clearance at hooking point.
5 Curtain Handle
This manually operated Curtain Handle offers excellent service on vestibule curtains. It also can be used on those installations when the curtain is applied to the roller by means of snap buttons. The handle is made of steel with a Zinc finish.
Opening Shield
 The Adlake Opening Shield for vestibule curtains has been developed to provide maximum protection for the curtain, yet give quick access to it when necessary. Designed to give long wear and easy service, it is ideal for use on new or reconditioned equipment.
The Adlake Opening Shield is formed of two-semi-circular parts of extruded aluminum, hinged together, with edges rounded to protect the curtain. It is supported at the top and bottom by cast brackets and a means of attaching to the car structure. The hinged portion is held in a closed position by rods which travel through the open bead at the edge, latch at the top and bottom and are operated by pinch handles. This allows the shield to be opened quickly without the use of any tools. The roller can be removed simply by loosening the thumb nut on the top adjusting bracket.
